Music runs in her family and Ali grew up loving music from the start. Anyone who researches “Ali Randolph” or “Ali Randolph Band” will find original songs with heavy duty twang such as “Popcorn Sutton” – a song she wrote about the legendary moonshiner and performed at his memorial service – or “Black Limousine” – a song she says describes who she is. However, to understand what Randolph is all about, one must see her perform live. The Ali Randolph Band – based in Western North Carolina – travels the Southeast performing originals as well as cover songs ranging in genre from country to rock, building up their audience one show at a time.
